🌍 Ecovillage Centre des Hommes (ECDH) in Togo is a living model of sustainability. It integrates permaculture, eco-construction, social enterprise and community empowerment. As part of the GEN Africa network, ECDH connects farmers, artists, volunteers and changemakers. Together, they co-create a regenerative lifestyle rooted in African traditions and global ecological practices.

  • And also, we empower local communities through agroecology, handicrafts, renewable energy, beekeeping, as well as fish and mushroom farming.
At CDH, one group of farmers collaborates to keep the ECDH land clean. They till the soil, prepare seedlings, and plant trees, while receiving payments that, in turn, contribute to improving their lives.

  • We create economic opportunities through social enterprises by processing locally harvested agricultural products and fruits into dried goods. Additionally, we transform plants into superfoods, dried leaves, natural cosmetics, essential and culinary oils, as well as handicrafts, under the brand TogoSunny.
  • Foster community living through cultural exchange, volunteer hosting and international cooperation.
